At the CB&Q diesel shop in Denver was EMD F9A Demo 462. It was rebuilt in May 1960 from C&NW F7A 6501A. EMD would use the unit for testing purposes over the next two decades. It would last see use in the mid-1980s. 462 would be sold to Pielet Bros. for scrap, but would not be cut up until 1998. |
