Sitting in storage at the Wyoming & Colorado yard in Laramie is MDT F7B 1511. 1511 was built by EMD in Feburary 1949 as Rio Grande 555B (later 5552). 5552 was sold to the Alaska Railroad in 1970 and became ARR 1517. It would be retired in 1986 and sold to Mountain Diesel. 1511 would later be sold to WYCO. It was scrapped in December 2006. |
